Please come and join us for a different kind of VBS! On the evenings of August 2 & 3 (6:30 – 8:30 PM) and during the day on August 4 (10 AM – 4 PM) we will focus on being the hands and feet of Christ in the world by preparing supplies for the homeless and doing projects in the surrounding area to help others. This camp is designed for God’s children of all ages.
On Thursday and Friday evenings, registration and welcome will be from 6:00pm to 6:30pm at which time we will assemble for music and fun for the whole family. For projects we will weave mats for the homeless, create cards and decorate snacks for our local police and firefighters, and assemble toiletry kits for the residents of Pleasant Valley Men’s Shelter. Of course there will be games and snacks too.
On Saturday, registration and welcome will be from 9:30am to 10:00am. We will serve our neighbors by painting, gardening and performing minor repair. Lunch will be provided.
We are collecting the following items for the toiletry kits:
- shampoo
- tube socks
- toothpaste
- men’s underwear (sizes 32-44)
- soap
- t-shirts (medium to 3XL)
